Major Moscow's Assaults Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Moscow has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles attacked energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from local officials.

Local officials said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were injured.

The attacks follow nights of air raids in the region, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Authorities told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
